Thank you New Mexico Foundation’s Vecino-Neighbor Helping Neighbor Fund!

We are so humbled and excited to share that we have recently received funding from the New Mexico Foundation's Vecino-Neighbor Helping Neighbor Fund.

Based on the success of our food drive, we will use this funding to support continued efforts to provide pre-prepared meals and groceries for families in foster care during the pandemic.

Abuse and neglect don’t stop during societal times of stress, which can lead to additional trauma for all involved. Our help and support is needed now more than ever. Foster families are stepping up to the new challenges and working harder than ever to meet the added demands of caring for children who are suffering from emotional stress and pre-placement trauma. Resources, like food supports have been identified as a top-priority to help ease the burden of the pandemic for these families, and ultimately, help maintain permanency for the children in the homes, reducing placement disruption and further trauma.
