TRAINING: Understanding the new OFRA - New Mexico Office of Family Representation and Advocacy

TRAINING DATE: FRIDAY JULY 15TH, 2022 from 11AM - 12PM

Join New Mexico Child First Network as we welcome former CCIC Chair, Judge Jennifer DeLaney - Sixth Judicial District Court Judge and Mary Ann Shaening, Ph.D. Shaening and Associates, Inc. to join us to talk about OFRA.

The Office of Family Representation and Advocacy (OFRA) is a new
state agency with the singular focus of providing high quality legal
representation and services to children and families in the foster care system. The office was created by the Legislature in 2022 to serve children, parents, custodians, and guardians in child abuse and neglect cases, as well as eligible young adults who benefit from continued care under the Fostering Connections Act. OFRA is an independent adjunct agency of the Executive branch, and will be overseen by a thirteen-member commission.

Join us for this 1-hour presentation with Q&A to learn more.

Training certificates will be provided to those who register and attend upon completion. Register now below:
